Probably a decent price. I bought my E39 M5 about 5 years ago for right at $20k, but it had more miles and I think prices on these are going up. It was also an 01, but otherwise similar.

These are great cars, and everyone should get a chance to experience them at some point. I wish I still had mine.

Fair price. But it's honestly better to get a fair price on a nice car than a nice price on a fair car - especially on something like an M5. Last thing you need is to find out after the purchase why you got a nice price...

Sorry, late to the party. Definitely NP. Not overly modded. I'd go with just the stock rims, because aftermarket anything depreciates the moment you buy it :D

So, my title was misleading since the original post was almost in 2012, and the car is over 75k in mileage now. But still, over 2+ year, the car only goes down 2k. Maybe it is starting to appreciate.

I so wish that I could buy this. It is everything I want in an e39, the only thing she needs is a BBK and to replace that beat ass M5 navi system with something far simpler and bluetooth
